Management of Major EU Funded Project supported by PMO Projects
As one of the most important research projects in medicine and computer science ever funded by the European Commission, this project brought together a consortium of Universities, one from Portugal (Coimbra) and the other one from Germany (Freiburg), as well as several hospitals from Portugal (Coimbra), France (Paris) and Germany (Freiburg), and also an Italian private company. The project was aimed at making significant advances in the forecasting of epileptic seizures by using a computerized device attached to the patient's brain. Given the importance of this project, it was decided to implement a structured process of project planning and control, integrated with Risk Management and PMO Projects was selected and contracted as the partner company for this purpose.
